Engagement Photography Etherow Country Park: Capturing Natural Beauty and Joy
Etherow Country Park is a stunning location for any type of photography, but it’s particularly special for engagement shoots. I recently had the pleasure of working with Rebekah and Liam, who are getting married next month, at stunning Oaklands Masonic Hall, Hyde. Their daughter, Grace, who is 1 year and 3 months old, also joined us and added a joyful atmosphere to the shoot.
The Location
Etherow Country Park is located in Compstall, on the edge of Stockport near Marple Bridge. This park is a beautiful blend of nature and history, situated on the site of an old cotton mill. The park features a huge lake that is home to the Etherow Sailing Club and used by the Etherow Model Boat Club. It’s a stunning location for engagement photography, offering a variety of landscapes, from wooded areas to open fields.
The Pre-wedding Photography at Etherow Country Park
Rebekah and Liam were both keen to have a natural and relaxed engagement shoot, and that’s exactly what we did. We kept the posing to a minimum, instead opting for natural guidance to capture the genuine emotions and connection between the couple. Liam was more laid back about the photo shoot. However, both of them enjoyed the experience and had a great time.
Grace was the star of the show, adding an element of cuteness and playfulness to the photos. We managed to capture some amazing shots of the family together, as well as some stunning portraits of Rebekah and Liam.
The Rain didn’t ruin our Our Engagement Photography at Etherow Park
Unfortunately, the rain did make an appearance during our shoot, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. We took advantage of the rainy weather and captured some beautiful shots, adding a romantic and cozy feel to the photos. We even managed to incorporate some Titanic-inspired shots, which turned out to be a lot of fun – although, we left out Jack, just Liam!
The Waterfall
One of the highlights of the shoot was seeing the waterfall at Etherow Country Park. We took advantage of the natural beauty of the location and captured some stunning photos of Rebekah and Liam near the waterfall. The sound of the water added a calming and serene atmosphere to the photos, making them some of my favorites from the shoot.
Engagement photography – no posing, just fun
Overall, our engagement photography shoot at Etherow Country Park was a fantastic experience. The natural beauty of the location combined with the genuine joy and connection between Rebekah, Liam, and Grace made for some stunning photos. It’s always a pleasure to work with couples who are relaxed and open to capturing their genuine emotions, and this was no exception.
